In a pointed exchange on X, journalist and podcaster Megyn Kelly criticized former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton for a post about a protest in Minnesota. The interaction highlights tensions surrounding immigration enforcement and public safety, stemming from the death of Renee Good, who was allegedly killed by an ICE agent.
Clinton’s tweet described a gathering of thousands of Minnesotans at the site of the incident. She wrote: “Last night, at the corner where an ICE agent murdered Renee Good, thousands of Minnesotans gathered in the frigid dark to protest her killing. In the face of this administration’s lawless violence, solidarity is the answer. They want to mold America to their cruelty. We refuse.” Accompanying the post was an image showing a large crowd assembled at night, holding signs such as “ICE Killer Off Our Streets” and illuminated by candlelight, capturing the vigil-like atmosphere in cold weather.
Kelly, responding directly to Clinton’s message, condemned it as inflammatory. Her reply stated: “This is disgusting. You’re directly endangering lives with this post, madam. As you sit in your country manor with your guards and full staff.” Kelly’s comment underscores her view that Clinton’s words could incite harm, while contrasting Clinton’s personal security with the broader implications of the statement.
The exchange occurred on Kelly’s X account, where she has frequently commented on political and social issues. This response was posted in reaction to Clinton’s call for solidarity against what she described as the administration’s actions in the wake of Good’s death.
