Texas Republican candidate Bo French is escalating his rhetoric on immigration and Islam following comments made by U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville in a reshared hearing video focused on Sharia law and what participants described as concerns over Islamic extremism in the United States.
In a social media post responding to video of Tuberville’s remarks, French wrote: “We should not let anyone from these cultures into America. We should boot all the ones already here out. I will do everything in my power to protect my children and grandchildren from this savagery.” The statement marked one of his most forceful calls yet for sweeping immigration restrictions tied specifically to Muslim-majority cultures.

Tuberville’s comments came during a hearing where the Alabama Republican centered his argument on radical islamic extremism and sharia law and the danger it poses being brought to America.
In radical Islamic countries, it is considered normal for men to marry 6-year-olds.

Pedophilia is rampant and women are lucky if they are allowed to drive.
Where is the outrage from “feminists” about the RAMPANT ABUSE of women in Islamic countries??? pic.twitter.com/1TSJimnTRc
“Something you won’t hear from the deranged leftists who run cover for Islamic extremism is about the inhumane and disgusting ways that they treat women,” Tuberville said, “In Muslim countries that follow Sharia law, it is considered normal for women to be raped, trafficked, and forced to marry as young as age of six. Pedophilia is rampant, and women are lucky if they are allowed to drive. I’m old enough to remember when Democrats championed the Me Too movement, which was self-described as a global survival movement to end sexual violence. But these same Democrats who championed the MeToo movement have been radio silent when it comes to the way women are regularly treated in countries that practice radical Islam. I have yet to hear my Democrat colleagues who are siding with Hamas talk about the brutal ways Hamas has abused the women they have held hostage since October the 7th. Nor have I heard Democrats who claim to be feminists talk about the fact that some Muslims countries that practice Sharia law require women to be completely covered from head to toe. These women, they’re not allowed to get an education, work a job, or in some cases even leave home. They are barred from gyms, parks, and beauty salons. They are forbidden from traveling without a male relative and are forced to wear certain clothing that covers everything but its eyes. But meanwhile, the men in these countries are allowed to abuse women, have sex with children, or have multiple wives. No problem. Everyone, but especially feminist groups, should be outraged about this horrible abuse of women. But that doesn’t fit the left’s narrative. So, you won’t hear a peep from liberal so-called feminists about the disgusting treatment of women and radical Islamic countries.
In another hearing with House members associated with the Sharia Free America Caucus, Tuberville focused on what he described as America’s foundational Christian identity and the threat posed by radical interpretations of Islamic law. He rejected accusations of Islamophobia and framed his remarks as a defense of the country’s history and constitutional principles as the United States approaches its 250th anniversary. Tuberville described the United States as a Christian nation and said preserving that identity is essential to protecting civil liberties and the Constitution. “I love this country. I love what it stands for. I love that it’s a Christian nation, and it’s going to stay that way,” he said. He characterized radical Islam as a political movement rather than a religion and warned of what he called a “silent revolution” by extremists who refuse to assimilate.

French’s response went further than Tuberville’s remarks by advocating not only halting future immigration from Muslim-majority cultures but also expelling those already living in the United States. His post echoed sentiments he expressed in November 2025, when he wrote that “Muslims don’t have any plan to assimilate into the US because their plan is to conquer the US and turn it into a Sharia Superpower,” adding that any Muslims “pretending to assimilate are just practicing taqiyya.”
French previously served as chairman of the Tarrant County Republican Party from 2023 until resigning in November 2025 to pursue statewide office. He is challenging incumbent Railroad Commission Chair Jim Wright in the Republican primary, positioning his campaign around themes of defending Texas, confronting what he describes as left-wing ideology and reshaping public policy to reflect what he views as the country’s founding principles. As a dad of 4, he seems to be framing this issue as crucial in protecting his children and their future kids in this world.
The race for the Railroad Commission comes as immigration policy remains a dominant issue in Texas and national politics, with ongoing debates over border enforcement, visa programs and the broader economic and social impacts of migration. French’s comments underscore how questions surrounding Islam, assimilation and national identity are becoming intertwined with those broader policy disputes, particularly within Republican primary contests where candidates are competing to define the party’s approach to cultural and security concerns.
