“We Are Impeaching You When We Flip the House — Unless You Resign First,” — Rep. Ted Lieu Directly Warns Pam Bondi — “You Just Lied Under Oath, and This Is All on Videotape. You Said There’s No Evidence of a Crime… Shame On You. If You Had Any Decency, You Would Resign Right After This Hearing Concludes”

Rep. Ted Lieu (D-Calif.) issued a sharp public warning to United States Attorney General Pam Bondi, asserting that she had lied under oath and threatening impeachment if Democrats regain control of the House of Representatives. The warning came in response to a video of a congressional hearing in which Bondi defended President Donald Trump against questions about his association with Jeffrey Epstein. Lieu wrote in a post addressing Bondi, “Dear AGPamBondi: You did the one thing your king ordered you not to do: you made Trump look guilty. You also lied under oath. And you surveilled the search history of Congress Members. We are impeaching you when we flip the House. Unless you resign first. Good evening.”

The video, captures an exchange during the House committee hearing. Lieu pressed Bondi about whether Trump had attended parties with Epstein where underage girls were present. Bondi repeatedly denied any evidence of criminal activity by Trump, describing the questioning as “ridiculous” and asserting that it was intended to deflect from the “great things Donald Trump has done.” She added, “Everyone knows that this has been the most transparent presidency. He’s the one that—” before Lieu interrupted.

Lieu challenged Bondi’s claims, stating, “Claim my time. I got your answer. You said there’s no evidence.” He then presented documents and witness statements that he said contradicted Bondi’s testimony, including accounts from an individual who allegedly drove Trump in a limo and reported overhearing conversations with Epstein, as well as claims of sexual assault connected to Epstein and Trump. Lieu accused Bondi of ignoring the Department of Justice’s responsibility to investigate these claims.

Ted – “You just lied under oath, and this is all on videotape. You said there’s no evidence of a crime,” To which Pam Bondi snapped saying “Don’t you ever accuse me of a crime!”

Bondi’s defense during the hearing emphasized her view that Trump’s presidency has been transparent and that there was no evidence supporting criminal allegations. She also cautioned Lieu against accusing her of committing a crime.

The confrontation occurs against the backdrop of House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) publicly asserting that Democrats are positioned to retake control of the House in the upcoming November elections. In a separate video, Jeffries criticized Republican leadership, claiming, “Republicans done effed up, and they know it. We knew it months ago. Republicans have been losing elections, and Democrats have been winning elections since January of last year. That’s an irrefutable fact. Democrats haven’t lost a single meaningful election — not one. Not one.”

Jeffries further warned Republican lawmakers that their influence may be declining within their own party, stating, “At what point will Republican extremists come to the conclusion that your reach ain’t long enough and your peeps ain’t strong enough? You are on the verge of losing control of the House of Representatives.” His remarks reflect a broader Democratic strategy of emphasizing recent electoral successes and projecting confidence heading into the midterm cycle.

The exchange between Lieu and Bondi highlights ongoing political tensions surrounding investigations into Trump and Epstein, while also signaling the potential for renewed Democratic oversight if the party regains a House majority. The public warning and threat of impeachment underscore the heightened stakes as both parties prepare for the upcoming elections.
