U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren on Saturday urged voters to “vote these Republicans out,” warning that the country “can’t afford another two years of Trump unchecked and unbound” as she announced a donation of over $400,000 from her campaign funds to support Democratic efforts in the 2026 midterm elections.
In a video statement, Warren said: “We can’t afford another two years of Trump unchecked and unbound. We need to vote these Republicans out. That’s why I’m giving over $400,000 of my campaign funds to the top Senate and House opportunities in November.”
The Massachusetts Democrat emphasized the need for immediate action, describing the donation as a strategic investment in competitive races. Earlier announcements from her office and related posts indicate the funds are being directed to 23 state Democratic parties in states with key congressional or statewide contests, including Maine, North Carolina, Ohio, and Texas. Warren has called the early funding “crucial” for building party infrastructure well ahead of November 2026.
The remarks follow President Donald Trump’s January 6 comments at a Republican retreat, where he expressed concerns about midterm losses leading to impeachment attempts. Trump told supporters: “You gotta win the midterms. Because if we don’t win the midterms, they’ll find a reason to impeach me. I’ll get impeached.”
Warren’s announcement, which builds on prior statements about donating $400,000 to state parties as a “down payment for November,” highlights Democratic efforts to mobilize resources early in the cycle. She has urged other Democrats to contribute similarly, stressing that investing now is more effective than waiting until closer to the election.
