Megyn Kelly Blasts Media Over Minneapolis ICE Shooting, ‘SHE ACCELERATED INTO THE OFFICER’ Calls George Floyd Comparisons ‘A Joke’

Megyn Kelly, a prominent media personality and host of her own podcast, has been actively posting on X about a fatal shooting incident involving ICE agents in South Minneapolis. On January 7, 2026, her posts predominantly revolve around this event, where a U.S. citizen woman was killed during an operation. Kelly has shared multiple videos from various angles to highlight details of the encounter.

In one post, Kelly emphasizes footage that she describes as showing the woman accelerating her SUV directly toward an ICE officer standing in front of the vehicle. She defends the agent’s actions, stating that the officer faced immediate danger of being run over. Kelly argues that the woman used her car as a weapon, justifying the use of deadly force. She shared a slowed-down and zoomed-in version of the video, writing, “Watch this. She accelerates into him,” and encouraged viewers to examine this specific angle to challenge claims that the shooting was unjustified.

Kelly further explains that the officer made a split-second decision to protect himself and his colleagues. She references legal precedents allowing lethal force against a “fleeing felon” who poses a threat and rejects suggestions that the woman was simply fleeing or turning away from the scene.

Throughout her posts, Kelly criticizes media outlets and political figures for escalating the situation without considering the evidence she presents. She specifically calls out MSNBC for comparing the incident to the George Floyd case, describing it as “a joke” because “SHE ACCELERATED INTO THE OFFICER.”

Kelly also rebukes Minnesota Governor Tim Walz for labeling the officer’s defense as “propaganda” and for inflaming tensions too early. In response to Representative Ilhan Omar’s demand for ICE to depart from the city, Kelly notes, “people should not accelerate their cars into ICE agents.”

Additionally, Kelly addresses the mayor of Minneapolis and figures such as Jon Favreau and Justin Amash, urging them to watch the angle depicting the acceleration to prevent the spread of misinformation.

Earlier on the same day, Kelly posted a morning update covering other political topics, including former President Trump’s warnings to House GOP members, discussions about a potential U.S. acquisition of Greenland, and activities by the Department of Homeland Security in Minnesota.

The previous day, Kelly promoted an episode of her podcast that discussed the Kohberger family, Trump’s comments on Maduro, and diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives in symphonies. She also shared a post mourning the passing of Michael Reagan, reflecting on his kindness in a personal note.
