Eric Trump Announces Trump-Branded Hotel and Tower That Will Be “the Tallest Building in Australia,” Adding, “This Marks Our First Venture Into Australia — an Extraordinary Country in Every Respect — and I Couldn’t Be More Excited to Help Shape Its Iconic Skyline Forever,” Promising, “More to Come”

Eric Trump said on Monday that the Trump Organization plans to develop what he described as Australia’s tallest building, a Trump-branded hotel and residential tower on the Gold Coast, marking the company’s first project in the country.

“I am so proud to announce what will soon be the tallest building in Australia — Trump International Hotel & Tower Gold Coast,” Trump wrote in a post on social media. He said the project would be the Trump Organization’s first venture into Australia and that more details would be released later.

The Trump Organization said in a statement that the project, called Trump International Hotel & Tower Gold Coast, will be developed with Altus Property Group and will include a 285-room luxury hotel and 272 residential apartments. The company said the development will be located in Surfers Paradise and will feature retail, dining, and commercial space, along with a beach club.

According to the company, the tower is planned to rise about 335 meters and reach 91 stories, which would make it the tallest building in Australia if completed as proposed. The statement said the project would anchor a mixed-use development aimed at revitalizing the central Surfers Paradise precinct.

“Trump International Hotel & Tower, Gold Coast is our first official project in Australia and reflects our commitment to expanding our portfolio of luxury residential and hospitality projects globally,” Eric Trump, executive vice president of the Trump Organization, said in the announcement.

Altus Property Group founder David Young said the company would lead development of the project and described it as a landmark addition to the Australian market.

The Trump Organization has licensed its brand to hotels and residential towers in several countries, with projects often developed by local partners. Details on construction timelines, financing, and regulatory approvals for the Gold Coast tower were not disclosed.

The Gold Coast, a coastal city in the state of Queensland, is a major tourist destination known for high-rise beachfront development. The proposed tower would join a skyline that already includes several of Australia’s tallest residential buildings, though it would exceed current height records if built as planned.

The announcement comes as the Trump Organization continues to expand its international real estate branding business, while maintaining that Eric Trump and other executives oversee company operations separate from U.S. political activity involving President Donald Trump.

Donald Trump has not publicly commented on the project.
