Texas Republican Bo French escalated his criticism of Democratic immigration policies in a social media post this week, claiming that the party wants undocumented immigrants in the United States to advance what he called the “destruction” of the country. French, a candidate for the Texas Railroad Commission, wrote: “Stunning but not shocking. Democrats want illegals here so they can be in charge of America’s destruction. That’s it. They hate you and they hate this country.” The post was a response to a video of Tennessee Democratic Representative Justin J. Pearson calling for the abolition of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and restructuring U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

Pearson’s remarks, made during an interview, criticized federal enforcement policies and argued that the agencies as currently structured are responsible for harming communities. He said the country needs “a federal law enforcement agency that deals with immigration that doesn’t kill people” and emphasized the creation of laws that provide pathways of opportunity for undocumented individuals. Pearson also cited past incidents involving federal authorities, including the killings of Alex Pretti and Renee Good, to argue that accountability has been lacking.
No deportations of illegal immigrants is the official Democrat position.

French’s statement follows a similar criticism from White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy and Homeland Security Advisor Stephen Miller. In a post responding to the same Pearson clip, Miller argued that Democratic immigration policies would turn the United States into a “third world society,” affecting infrastructure, healthcare, education, and public safety.
Understand this: the Democrat Party is completely and irrevocably committed to the project of making America into a third world society. If that happens, nothing else works — infrastructure, healthcare, education, public safety. Nothing. It’s just that simple. https://t.co/W0K3r6GmDS

The post is the latest in a series of provocative statements from French, who has made immigration and national identity central to his campaign for the Texas Railroad Commission. The commission, despite its name, primarily regulates oil and gas production in the state. French has previously advocated for the “rounding up, denaturalizing, and deporting” of what he has described as 100 million “foreigners.”
Denaturalize and deport foreigners. There are 100 million people in America who shouldn't be here. Nothing else matters until we do that. It solves almost every problem.

French has built a political identity around hardline messaging, including his tenure as Tarrant County GOP chairman, where he frequently attacked political opponents and minority groups on social media. Since launching his Railroad Commission campaign, French has emphasized cultural and demographic grievances over the technical regulatory responsibilities of the office.
His comments, alongside Miller’s and Pearson’s, highlight the sharply different visions within U.S. politics regarding border enforcement, the role of federal agencies, and the treatment of undocumented individuals. French’s messaging underscores a broader strategy of mobilizing conservative voters through provocative rhetoric on national identity and immigration policy, even as it draws criticism from both political opponents and some members of his own party.
