Elon Musk Calls JD Vance’s Home Invader ‘Insane’, Signals Support Ahead of Midterms

JD Vance, Vice President and former U.S. Senate candidate, recently faced a home intrusion at his Cincinnati residence. The suspect, later identified as Julia DeFoor, allegedly smashed windows at Vance’s $1.4 million Hyde Park home with a hammer. Elon Musk responded to the incident on social media, calling the suspect “insane,” drawing significant attention to the case ahead of the upcoming midterm elections.

Authorities have identified the individual accused in the attack as 26-year-old Julia DeFoor, a transgender woman formerly known as William DeFoor. Julia is the daughter of prominent pediatric doctors William and Catherine DeFoor, both of whom are wealthy donors to Democratic causes, including contributions to Kamala Harris and Joe Biden.

According to reports, Julia DeFoor allegedly broke into the Vance family home using a hammer. She has been arrested and faces multiple charges in connection with the alleged incident. While no motive has been publicly released, law enforcement notes that DeFoor has a prior criminal record, including a guilty plea in 2024 for vandalizing an interior design firm.

Elon Musk’s Comment

Elon Musk weighed in on the situation via X, writing:

“Those are not the eyes of a sane person.”

Musk’s comment quickly drew attention online, emphasizing the severity of the incident and sparking speculation about his political alignment in relation to Vance, particularly with midterm elections approaching.
