Epstein’s pedophilia operation had over 1,000 victims, and United States Attorney General Pam Bondi has held exactly ZERO men accountable, Representative Ted Lieu said, sharply criticizing the attorney general for her handling of the Jeffrey Epstein case. Lieu’s comments came in response to a social media post by President Donald Trump defending Bondi, who he praised for her performance at a congressional hearing regarding Epstein.

Lieu accused Bondi of failing to investigate or hold accountable any of the men involved in Epstein’s criminal activities and suggested that her actions have eroded support even among Trump’s base. “Why did Trump write a social media rant to defend his sycophantic Attorney General? Because she’s so awful that even the MAGA base is turning on her,” Lieu wrote.

Trump’s post, in contrast, lauded Bondi’s conduct during the hearing, portraying her as “fantastic at yesterday’s Hearing on the never ending saga of Jeffrey Epstein, where the one thing that has been proven conclusively, much to their chagrin, was that President Donald J. Trump has been 100% exonerated of their ridiculous Russia, Russia, Russia type charges. Actually, it is the SLIMEBALL Democrats, many of them big Donors and Politicians, that have been proven GUILTY!” He also criticized Democrats for focusing on Epstein and accused them of trying to distract from Republican achievements, writing, “Nobody cared about Epstein when he was alive, they only cared about him when they thought he could create Political Harm to a very popular President who has brought our Country back from the brink of extinction, and very quickly, at that!”

The confrontation between Lieu and Bondi stems from the House committee hearing in which Bondi defended Trump and repeatedly denied evidence linking him to criminal activity involving Epstein. Lieu pressed Bondi about whether Trump had attended parties where underage girls were present. Bondi dismissed the questioning as “ridiculous” and insisted it was meant to deflect from Trump’s record, stating, “Everyone knows that this has been the most transparent presidency. He’s the one that—” before Lieu interrupted.

Lieu countered Bondi’s statements by presenting documents and witness accounts he said contradicted her testimony, including claims of sexual assault and observations allegedly involving Trump and Epstein. “You just lied under oath, and this is all on videotape. You said there’s no evidence of a crime,” Lieu told Bondi. Bondi responded sharply, saying, “Don’t you ever accuse me of a crime!”

The exchange occurs amid broader political developments. Lieu warned Bondi in a public post that she could face impeachment if Democrats regain control of the House. “Dear AGPamBondi: You did the one thing your king ordered you not to do: you made Trump look guilty. You also lied under oath. And you surveilled the search history of Congress Members. We are impeaching you when we flip the House. Unless you resign first. Good evening,” Lieu wrote.

The confrontation underscores the ongoing tensions surrounding investigations into Trump and Epstein. It also signals the potential for renewed Democratic oversight if the party retakes the House, while highlighting the political stakes for Bondi and other figures who defended Trump during the hearing.
