Rapper and entrepreneur Nicki Minaj is continuing to inject herself into the national political debate, this time weighing in forcefully on immigration, voter ID laws, and the SAVE Act—while also reinforcing her very public support for President Donald Trump.
In a series of posts, Minaj accused Democrats of using immigration as a political tool after, in her view, breaking promises to Black Americans. She claimed that voters are being replaced rather than persuaded and argued that public unrest is being used to divert attention from government corruption.
They’re flying in immigrants to vote b/c they reneged on all the promises they made to African Americans & can no longer get the African American vote by default.

They’re causing distractions in the streets to distract from the billions they stole from tax payers.
“They’re flying in immigrants to vote b/c they reneged on all the promises they made to African Americans & can no longer get the African American vote by default,” Minaj wrote. “They’re causing distractions in the streets to distract from the billions they stole from taxpayers.”
Minaj followed that statement with an even more direct critique of opposition to voter identification laws, expressing disbelief that the issue is even up for debate in the United States. Her comments closely mirror arguments made by Republicans backing the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act, which would require proof of U.S. citizenship to register to vote in federal elections.
What sensible forward thinking cutting edge leading nation is having a DEBATE on whether or not there should be VOTER ID?!?!!!! Like?!?!? They’re actually fighting NOT to have ppl present ID while voting for your leaders!!!!! Do you get it?!?!!!! Do you get it now?!?!!!

Supporters of the SAVE Act argue that voter ID and citizenship verification are common-sense safeguards needed to preserve election integrity, while Democrats argue the bill could suppress turnout and create barriers for eligible voters. The legislation has become one of the most contentious election-related measures in Congress.
Rep. Anna Paulina Luna of Florida, a leading advocate for the SAVE Act, publicly welcomed Minaj’s comments, replying, “Ty @NICKIMINAJ 🙏🏼✨,” and signaling alignment between the pop star’s remarks and Republican messaging on election security.

Minaj’s statements come just days after she made headlines for appearing on stage with President Trump at a public event, where she delivered an emotional endorsement of the president and dismissed criticism directed at him.
“I am probably the President’s #1 fan. And that’s not going to change,” Minaj said to the crowd. “The hate… does not affect me at all. It actually motivates me to support him MORE… We’re not going to let them get away with bullying him… God is protecting him.”

Her appearance alongside Trump marked one of the most explicit endorsements he has received from a major music figure and underscored her willingness to align herself publicly with his administration, even as such support draws backlash within the entertainment industry. Together, Minaj’s onstage remarks and her comments on voter ID and immigration reflect a growing overlap between pop culture and politics, with high-profile celebrities increasingly shaping — and amplifying — debates over election integrity, immigration enforcement, and the future direction of the country.
